Club-Exclusive whiskey wins big at the Irish Whiskey Awards

Our mates at Dunville’s had an incredible winning sweep at 2025’s Irish Whiskey Awards recently, taking out eight awards including Best Irish Whiskey and Best Cask Strength.

It’s the second year in a row that Dunville’s has taken out the prestigious Whiskey of the Year.

The Irish Whiskey Awards were founded in 2013. Blind-tasted by a panel of whisky clubs and societies from across Ireland, the Irish Whiskey Awards have grown to be one of the biggest celebrations of Irish whiskey in the world.

Dunville’s 21 Year Old Palo Cortado Sherry Cask Finish, released exclusively to Club members in March this year, took out Irish Whiskey of the Year (Overall Winner). They also took out best Cask Strength Whiskey with a Dunville’s 24 Year Old PX Cask Strength Single Cask.

Thanks to some excited messages from the distillery staff during the Awards ceremony, we can confirm that single cask is #1645 – a barrel we picked on a recent visit to the distillery.

As such Ireland’s best Cask Strength Whiskey, whose final bottling strength landed at 54.7%, will be available exclusively to Members in the new year.

In March 2025, The Whisky Club collaborated with the distillery on an exclusive for Members –Dunville's 13 Year Old Cigar Malt. Much loved by Members, our 13 Year Old Cigar Malt won Best Small Batch Irish Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards. 

It’s a continuation of a long love affair between Irish whiskey and Club Members.
